About MyFreePDFEdit

Hi — I'm Rob Sawant, an engineer and project manager, and I built MyFreePDFEdit because I got tired of "free" web tools that aren't. You know the pattern: you need to merge two PDFs, so you find a free site — which uploads your document to a server somewhere, stamps a watermark across your export, and then asks you to create an account before letting you download page two. I figured a browser is powerful enough to do all of this itself, so that's how I built it.

The mission

Every tool here — and across all five of my apps — follows the same rules: genuinely free, with no paywalled features and no surprise charges. No accounts, because merging a PDF shouldn't require a relationship. No watermarks, ever. And privacy by architecture, not by policy: your files are processed in your browser, on your device, and never touch a server. It's not that we promise not to look at your documents — we never receive them in the first place.

Privacy by design

The tools run entirely in your browser. When you merge, split, rotate, compress, sign or edit a PDF, the file is processed on your own device using open-source libraries like pdf-lib and pdf.js. Close the tab and the file is gone — it was never anywhere else. The site is supported by unobtrusive advertising, which is what keeps every tool free; see the Privacy Policy for details.

The suite

MyFreePDFEdit is one of five apps built on the same idea. There's MyFreeImageTool for image editing, conversion and OCR; MyFreeAudioTool with 30 audio tools and a multitrack studio; MyFreeVideoTool for video editing without uploads; and MyFreeInvoiceTool for invoices, GST and billing documents. All free, all private, all on-device.
